- 1 cup Dixie Lily Jambalaya Rice Mix
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb cooked protein (sausage, chicken, ham, or shrimp)
Instructions
- Precook your choice of protein (sausage, chicken, ham, or shrimp), and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Stir in the Jambalaya Rice Mix and cooked protein; mix well.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- (Optional) During the last 5 minutes, stir in cooked shrimp.
- Remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork, and serve hot.
