- lb ground beef
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can kidney or pinto beans (or 1 cup Dixie Lily beans, soaked)
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown beef with onion and garlic in a skillet; drain excess fat.
- Transfer beef mixture to slow cooker; add remaining ingredients.
- Cook on low 4–6 hr or high 2–3 hr.
- Adjust seasoning and serve warm with toppings.w
